Presented at the World Automobile Show of
Paris in 1984, the Ferrari Testarossa is the
before last creation of the Commendatore
Enzo Ferrari (1898-1988), with the Ferrari
F40 of 1987. It is produced until 1996. It
is motorised by an evolution of the V12 of
Ferrari 512 BB, pushed to 390 HP, flat rear
central position, open to 180°.
On a base frame and structure of the Ferrari
512 BB, to which it replaces, the bodywork,
recognised as one of the universal summits of
the design of the history of the automobile, is
created by Pininfarina . Realised in light alu-
minum (except the doors and roof), manufac-
tured in series by Scaglietti, it has important
entries of cooling air side sheets in the doors,
flip up headlights, and an exclusive aerodyna-
mic design.
It was in its time “supercar” the fastest in the
world… and all this with a stability that
made the great Henri Pescarolo claim during
a mythical televised test "300 km/h in the
Testarossa if you smoke a cigar, in the coun-
tach you may just swallow it”! The passenger
compartment of this berlinette, very sober and
dressed in leather, allows the Testarossa to as-
sociate comfort, luxury, and sportiness of the
elite.
Our model, in perfect condition, is proposed
with its original maintenance book.
