Before being totally integrated into the bosom of Mer-
cedes-Benz, AMG hadn't ceased to make sparks with
its cars prepared by its own. AMG, independent then,
was able to put all its talent to work to even more
greatly magnify the productions the star of Stuttgart.

received a new V8 of 6 L, disguised as a heart, de-
veloped 385HP.

The proposed example is a real collector piece with the
best mechanical configuration (to 6.0 litres and specific
AMG cylinder heads twin cam), a real masterpiece
just before the acquisition of control of AMG by
Mercedes Benz.
