Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, this Maserati is characterized, as all the Italian cars of its time, with very sharp lines .
This was the first car designed during the De Tomaso period ; its Code Factory project is the "330".
Its motorization resumed the V8 architecture ( for the last time before more than a decade ) to twin cam per bank of cylinders
and is available in two displacement configurations: 4,136 cm3 and 260 HP or 4,930 cm3 and 290 HP, which was found
on a classic architecture engine before . It was manufactured until 1990 in 2,141 examples. A special version called "Royal"
appears in 1987. There were 53 examples produced.
This was the official car of the President of the Italian Republic, Sandro Pertini that was armoured as well as those used by
the Presidents of the Senate and of the Italian Council.
