Cabrioni Cabrio Design est un transformateur
néerlandais qui réalise des cabriolets sur mesure à
partir de toutes sortes de bases. Ainsi c’est tout na-
turellement que l’entreprise s’intéressa à la Mini en
1992, pour finalement proposer un premier modèle
en 1994, présenté lors des festivités du 35
e
anniver-
saire. L’objectif était de réaliser un cabriolet
luxueux proche de ceux proposés à l’époque par
des marques telles que BMW ou Mercedes.
Si la réalisation d’un cabriolet Mini semble facile à
première vue, il n’en est rien dans la réalité. En
effet, supprimer le toit qui concourt très efficace-
ment à la rigidité de l’ensemble, nécessite des ren-
forcements importants afin que la caisse conserve
sa rigidité.
A notre connaissance, environ 300 Mini ont été converties par ce transformateur.
Notre modèle a été restauré à grand frais. Il est également muni de sa brochure publicitaire d’origine !

Cabrioni Cabrio Design is a Dutch transformer that produces custom made cabriolets from all kinds of databases. So
naturally the company became interested in the Mini in 1992, finally proposing a first model in 1994 and presented it
during the celebrations of the 35th anniversary. The objective was to achieve a luxurious cabriolet similar to those proposed
at the time by brands such as BMW or Mercedes.
If the realization of a Convertible MINI seemed easy at first glance, it was far
from reality. Actually, removal of the roof, which contributed very effectively to the
rigidity of the whole vehicle, required important strengthening in order for the body
to retain its rigidity.
To our knowledge, approximately 300 Mini have been converted by this transfor-
mer.
Our has had costly renovations. It also comes with its original advertising brochure!
