The legend tells that Enzo Ferrari considered – at least at the beginning of his career – that daily cars (do we say tourism cars?)
were a mean to finance racing cars. Making racing car was his main activity which he qualified as noble.
This legend could be prove with the choice of a conventional architecture for the car replacing the 275 GTB – front engine even if
Ferrari racing cars has central engine and competitors such as Lamborghini Miura and De Tomaso Mangusta was in the process
to do the same.
Presented at the Paris Event in 1968, the 365 GTB/4 will be surnamed Daytona following to the Ferrari triple on the circuit –
same name- won the same year by the P4 (with a P for Posteriore).
The model presented benefited from a total restoration made by the brand dealer in 2014 : color scheme oro chiaro/ tabacco leather.
