Launched in November 2002, this superb vehicle, as is usual at Ferrari, is a profound
evolution of the 550 Maranello and constitutes the first association of the mythical V12
to the sequential F1 gearbox . It was produced in 2,548 examples.
The improvements made on the 575 are substantial. It is equipped with an engine which
passes from 5.4 L to 5.7 L, of larger brake discs, of improved distribution and adaptive
suspensions. It also proposes a new interior. Always available with a conventional manual
gearbox, the essential part of the production will be carried out with the semi-automatic
gearbox "F1" (sequential) developed by Magnetti Morelli.
The number 575 makes reference to the engine displacement in centiliters, while the "M"
is an abbreviation of "modificato" ("modified”).
